Closet Project

This past week Crandon jumped into a project.  We've talked on and off for a couple years about re-doing our master bedroom closet to make better use of the space, and we recently acquired a box of decorative shelf brackets, so it seemed like a good time to do it.  Crandon found some nice plywood shelving at a local specialty lumber store and some rods and hardware to match the shelf brackets.

Before.

Before.

One rod and shelf in a U-shape was definitely not the best layout, although very typical of a walk-in closet.

Close to done!

Clean and spacious, without clothes!  The top shelf and rod is now about seven feet up, instead of closer to five and a half.  The divided hanging area allowed us to have shelving on the back wall, and room for the safe on one side.

And the final result, filled and organized.

One more "after" photo.
