Up the Coast - California to British Columbia

We traveled up Hwy 101 to Astoria, where we crossed over to I5 to continue up to the border of Canada, to visit family for several days.

Day 1 - Our town, California to Bandon, Oregon

Ready to hit the road!
Crandon gets the job of putting up the tent, while I start some dinner at the Port Orford/Bandon KOA
Day 2 - Bandon, Oregon to Seaside, Oregon

Bandon to Seaside, Oregon
Along the the Oregon coast.   Took a quick lunch break and ate at Heceta Beach.
Afternoon ice cream stop at Coldstone Creamery.
Yummy!
We saw this HUGE hangar across a field in Tillamook, OR, and decided we should drive over and check it out.  This was a very worthwhile detour!  We arrived ten minutes before closing and where given a quick tour.
The hangar is one of the largest wood framed structures--nearly 200 feet high!
Crandon with a Corsair--pretty cool!
A little cheesecake in the car after enjoying a run and stroll along the beach in the quaint town of Seaside, Oregon.
The Seaside/Warrenton/Astoria KOA was a very nice place to camp, including a large, covered kitchen area.  It rained on us all night here, so the kitchen made dinner prep so much easier and more pleasant to sit and eat and do a little reading before hitting the sack (literally).
Day 3 - Seaside, Oregon to Vancouver area, British Columbia

Our campsite, after packing up our (wet) tent, (wet) tarp, (damp) sleeping bags, (damp) mats, and ourselves (also damp).  On to Grandma and Grandpa's to dry our gear!
Opted for a coffee stop, instead of trying to dig the coffee things out from under the wet tent.
Hot food at a rest stop in Washington!  We set up our camp stove on a covered picnic table and cooked hot dogs, grilled our bread, and finished off with some hot cocoa.

Looks like you are having lots of fun! :) Jordan can't believe he read the word 'run' in your post. (I can though.... heheh)

Hope your time in Canada is fun!

I'm the one looking for Pavlov. Is he hiding somewhere? You both seem so perfect together. Can I say that?

Mr. Youngs, I'm afraid they must have forgotten Pavlov. He's here with me, bearing it all very patiently (despite his angry disposition). Perhaps a Hendy Woods camping trip would ease the pain of being forgotten by his dear friends? = )
