End of the Road!

Day 16 and 17 - Spokane to Nor. Cal. to Home!

Bug Splats.  After a while it's time to get gas just to be able to see the scenery more clearly.
Just where the Columbia River gorge started to get slightly green, as we headed west.
I wish I had taken a few better pictures of the gorge along the river--I had heard how beautiful it is, but had only seen the eastern most third, which really didn't strike me as beautiful (impressive, yes!)  The western part gets very lush and green and really very nice!
A quick lunch at a nice little grassy park near Multnomah Falls.
We enjoyed a visit overnight with my grandparents.  Too brief, but we appreciated the place to stay and one of Grandma's delicious dinners!  This rainbow rose was in a bouquet at their house!
The first thing we did when we arrived home was to check out our yard and garden!  It looked downright bushy after being gone two and a half weeks at this time of the year!
